Please send us any election leaflets, letters, billboards, broadcast commercials, or online ads you come across. These can be ads for local body, by-elections, or general elections, past and present. Parties and candidates standing for election are also welcome to send their information directly to us.
All content can be sent to us via nzelectionads@gmail.com or Twitter. Further directions for specific content are provided below. If you would like your submitted content attributed to you please let us know, otherwise all material will be uploaded anonymously.
Leaflets, newsletters, letters and billboards: photograph or scan the content, and send to us. Please also note where the ad was received or seen (suburb and city, or online). While we endeavour to remove any personally identifying information (name, address, phone number etc) before uploading content, we do encourage you to black out any relevant information before forwarding your ads on to us.
If you don’t have a scanner or digital camera, you’re welcome to send in hard copies. Please email us for postal details. If you would like the ad returned, please include a self-addressed prepaid courier bag.
Online material: save a copy of the image, attach it in its original format and send to us. Please include the link to where you found the ad. If you come across animated or video ads, please send us either a downloaded copy or a link to the content.
Television and radio commercials: if online, send the link to us. If you have a physical recording, please email us for postal details. If you would like the recording returned, please include a self-addressed prepaid courier bag. Don’t forget to let us know where you saw or accessed the commercial.
